The former IPS officer also proposed certain practices that should be adopted by Indian Railways

According to the former IPS officer, the delay was caused by an incoming train running late. The sad part that got him worked out was that there was no effort from railway officials to provide updates or make alternate arrangements.

He also pointed out that in some countries, if a train is delayed for more than three hours, the passengers are offered a refund or free travel. He also urged the Indian Railways to adopt such practices.
