It’s interesting to note that Musk made news for naming his child “X Æ A-12 Musk.” The name is pronounced “X Ash A Twelve,” according to Musk. Concerning the bizarre name, Musk stated that it was created by his collaborator, Grimes, rather than him.

Talking about this weird name, he said,

“First of all, my partner’s the one that mostly came up with the name. I mean it’s just X, the letter X, um, and the ‘Æ’ is pronounced, ‘Ash,’ and then, A-12 is my contribution.”

He further said that A-12 stands for “Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71, coolest plane ever.”
