Billionaire Elon Musk is all over the news as he sacked Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal and a few of the top executives after taking over the social media giant. Everyone saw it coming as the differences between Musk and Parag have been evident from their six-month-old long drama before Musk took the big step on October 28.
Tesla chief Elon Musk declared in April that he is Twitter’s largest shareholder. The then-CEO of Twitter Parag Agrawal revealed that he is all set to welcome Musk into the board. But things took a different turn when the Tesla CEO declined to be a part of it.

A string of alleged conversations between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and top executives of the micro-blogging site was recently leaked on Twitter. The leaked chat between Elon Musk, founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey, former CEO Parag Agrawal and Bret Taylor- chair of Twitter’s board of directors have been doing the rounds online.

Internal Tech Emails allegedly shared chat and email messages on Twitter. One can get a hint from the chats that they at least considered working together for a while as the conversations are filled with drama and each person is trying to outwit the other.

In one of the convos between Elon and Parag, Musk remarked that he doesn’t like the “MBA types” and prefers the ones with hard-core coding skills. Parag responded that Musk can try and talk to him like an engineer and not as the CEO.
Talking about Agrawal, Elon disclosed that according to him Parag was moving “too slow” and “trying to please the wrong people.”
Founder of Twitter and former CEO Jack Dorsey tried to explain Parag’s working style to Musk. Dorsey said about Parag,

“He is great at getting things done when tasked with specific direction,”
The chats also make it clear that Parag was struggling to tolerate Musk’s inputs on Twitter. When Musk once tweeted that Twitter is dying, Parag said,
“You are free to tweet “is Twitter dying?” or anything else about Twitter – but it’s my responsibility to tell you that it’s not helping me make Twitter better in the current context. Next time we speak, I’d like to you provide you perspective on the level of internal distraction right now and how it hurting our ability to do work. I hope the AMA will help people get to know you, to understand why you believe in Twitter, and to trust you – and I’d like the company to get to a place where we are more resilient and don’t get distracted, but we aren’t there right now.”
Apart from firing CEO Parag Agrawal, Musk also sacked policy chief Vijaya Gadde, along with Twitter CFO Ned Segal. The fired members did receive very generous severance packages from the Tesla Chief and the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk.
