1. Eksha Kerung comes from a small village called Rumbuk in Sikkim’s Soreng subdivision. She joined the police force at a very young age.
2. Eksha’s parents are Aitaraj and Sukrani Subba. She is the eldest sibling in the family and this brave lady has been the sole breadwinner.
3. Eksha Subba age is 21 years as of 2022. She broke all boundaries of a stereotypical society and became a police officer by profession who is also a supermodel and a boxer.
Eksha joined the police force when she was 19 while pursuing her graduation. She landed a job with the Sikkim Police Force. In the interview, she revealed that the job required her to undergo 14 months of disciplinary training before she was transferred to the State Reserve Line.
4. Eksha Kerung participated reality TV show MTV Supermodel of the Year Season 2 and was one of the top 9 contestants.
She proved that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. Her story inspired many to recognize their true passion. Eksha’s police training helped her face all the challenges related to core and physical strength in the show. Reported by Sikkim Express, as told to TGIF, she revealed,
“I have to say that, being from a defense background where I had to train for around 14 months before being recruited by Sikkim Police, some of the challenges were very easy for me. I wasn’t scared of heights, and I could do the tasks that involved physical strength easily. I was confident when the tasks involved core strengths.”
10. After displaying her modeling skills on an MTV show, Eksha wanted to compete in Asia’s Next Top Model
She had aspirations to model on an international platform while working for the Sikkim Police Department.
