With excitement escalating across the country, the much-anticipated opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has been formally set for January 22, 2024, at noon, during the auspicious Abhijeet Muhurat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath are among the notable individuals expected to attend this historic and highly significant event.
The construction of the Ram Temple is a collaborative effort drawing contributions not only from various parts of India but also from abroad. Thailand provided holy soil to the Ramjanmabhoomi as part of a significant cultural act. Prior to this, the country donated water from its holy rivers to the temple dedicated to Lord Ram.

Uttar Pradedsh is going to celebrate the consecration ceremony of Temple in Ayodhya, as it’s a major festival. After months of careful planning, invitations to this unique occasion have been sent to more than 7,000 people. It included about 3,000 VIPs who include politicians, businesspeople, entertainers, and cricket players.
Notably, special invitations have been sent to the celebrated Ramayan actors, Arun Govil (as Ram) and Dipika (as Sita), adding a nostalgic feel to the event. Needless to say, there is an incredible buzz going across the country. It is a testament to the shared excitement surrounding this historic occasion.

Actress Dipika Chikhlia, who is renowned for playing Sita Mata in the initial Ramayan series, has made a heartfelt plea to PM Modi. She stated that she would want to see the Sita idol placed in Ayodhya next to Lord Ram.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, she conveyed her long-held belief that there should be an accompanying idol of Sitaji next to Ramji. Dipika earnestly urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider placing both the statues together in Ayodhya. She said,
“Mujhe humesha laga tha ki Ramji ke bagal me Sitaji ki moorti hogi. Main humare Prime Minister ko request karna chahti hoon ki woh Ayodhya mein Ram ke saath Sitaji ki murti ko bhi viraajmaan karein”
Dipika Chikhlia also underlined the importance of placing Mother Sita’s statue next to Lord Ram’s. She also emphasized how this choice would have a profound effect and cheer up women all throughout the country.

Meanwhile, Dipika Chikhlia confirm that she had received an invitation to the formal ceremony. It is probable that Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in the 78-episode classic television series on Doordarshan, will be joining her. In an interview with PTI, Chikhlia said,
“Yes, we have been invited to Ayodhya on January 22… It will be something magical and a historic moment.”
She added,
“I have always said that I am very blessed that I could play Sita ji in ‘Ramayan’. It has been a very divine experience to be a part of something as magical as ‘Ramayan’. I enjoyed my journey throughout. I was one of those few actors who played Sita… but I continued to remain Sita ji till date. So I think we have all been very blessed.”
