The Delhi Metro system started off small, with only one line between Shahdara and Tis Hazari, but has since expanded to become one of India’s most popular and comprehensive metro systems. With plans for 12 lines covering 230 km and 160 stations, the Delhi Metro Railways Corporation (DMRC) has achieved an impressive feat.
However, building a system that outperforms other public utilities and ensuring its sustainability is no easy task. The DMRC has successfully provided commuters with top-notch services while having to face several challenges like a poor rate of return and a huge debt.

The youngster says that a boy named Suresh travels from Chawri Bazar to MG Road by the metro. From Huda City Center to New Delhi Metro Station, his friend Raju rides the metro. The tokens for both lines typically cost roughly Rs 50. But, for Rs 10, the duo purchases Qutub Minar station tokens.
They swap tokens when they come together at the Qutub Minar station. Suresh continues his trip to MG Road while Raju continues his travel to the New Delhi station. In this method, the commute only costs Rs 20, as opposed to Rs 100 for the entire trip. The young man emphasizes that the plan is to criticize the Delhi Metro constructively, not to defraud it.
The young person’s clever explanation has sparked a social networking craze with people from all over Delhi who have provided similar kind of reactions on his Reddit thread. While many people took it lightly, other users disapproved of the tactic and added that he had done it numerous times previously and that doesn’t save nearly as much as it annoys.
