Virat Kohli is the all-time leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and one of the tournament’s biggest names and also one of the most famous and talented in the world. He is not only famous in India but the whole world. But now, he is facing a hard time as he is unable to come in his older form which made him worthless in many people’s eyes.

After losing his leadership role with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), everyone expected him to play up front and dominate the IPL 2022. Despite being freed of leadership responsibilities, Kohli has failed to meet the expectations of RCB fans. His performance had been on the decline until a few innings ago. For the first time in his career, he was dismissed for golden ducks in two consecutive games.

His befuddled expression when he exited has become a major source of anxiety for RCB fans. However, following a string of poor performances, the 33-year-old batter has clawed his way back.

Kohli scored a half-century for the first time this season against the Gujarat Titans, but it wasn’t enough to give his team the two points. He did not make an important 30 from 33 deliveries against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Many people chastised the Delhi-born batsman for letting his team down with a selfish knock.

There were many of those who backed him after RCB beat MS Dhoni’s CSK in a critical match. A specific fan stood out among them, reminding all of Kohli’s detractors of his enormous commitment to cricket.

Niekerk’s tweet came when Kohli hammered a six over the cover area on the penultimate delivery of their fourth over against CSK. Kohli wasn’t at his best, but the shot demonstrated why he is considered one of cricket’s greats. She warned his critics that they can’t dismiss his amazing career because of one bad season. She tweeted,

Kohli was far from the only cricketer to experience a dry spell in his career. Many greats of the game, from Sachin Tendulkar to Rahul Dravid, have gone through this but have recovered.

The former Indian captain is going through a difficult moment right now, but it doesn’t mean his career is ended. Before passing judgement, individuals should consider how consistently he performed throughout the previous decade.
