Ashwin Bangladesh

In the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh in Dhaka, the Indian team registered a win chasing a target of 145 runs. Just when the Indian team was about to lose after India’s batting line-up was disrupted by Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s five-wicket haul. Things got exciting and took a favorable turn for the team when Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer joined hands.

Their partnership was an unbeaten 71-run partnership which led to India’s win by 3 wickets. the Indian team scored 2-0 in the series against Bangladesh.

After Ravichandran Ashwin walked in, he saved the team from a major embarrassment. After half an hour, Ashwin’s batting gave the situation a 360-degree turn. Ashwin scored 42 off 62 with Shreyas Iyer who scored 29 off 46 and helped India come out of the crisis. For his outstanding performance, Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded the Player of the Match trophy.

A Sri Lankan journalist commented on his picture and mocked him

“”You should have handed this 🏆 to Mominul Haque, Who dropped that dolly.. had he bagged it, India all out for 89 for sure.. 😃 @ashwinravi99″”

For the unversed, Mominul Haque who was fielding at the short leg dropped Ashwin on 1 when India needed 65 more runs to win. This was a huge turning point in the match.

Ravi Ashwin didn’t sit back and trolled the Sri Lankan journalist for his mockery

Ashwin was quick to come up with an epic reply. In his reply, Ashwin wrote,

“Oh no ! I thought I blocked you, oh sorry that’s the other guy. 🤔🤔🤔 what’s his name?? Yes Daniel Alexander that’s the name !!
Imagine what you both would do if India dint play cricket😂😂”
