Ashneer Grover Takes A Dig At Uber President

Ashneer Grover became popular on Indian television after his gig as a judge in Shark Tank India Season 1. He was known for his no-filter attitude and epic punchlines. The former BharatPe founder and TVF Pitchers’ judge Ashneer reacted to Uber’s claims on Wednesday of having driven 4,5 billion km in India this year. He mocked about the claim made in Uber’s annual report with a Twitter poll.

Uber Technologies, Inc. (Uber) is a company based in San Francisco, they provide a number of services, the most prominent one being their cab services.

Uber shared its annual analysis earlier this week in which it said that in the year 2022, Indians spent 11 billion minutes traveling in its cabs and covered as many as 4.5 billion kilometers – the distance from Earth all the way to Neptune

The official statement of the company stated,

“The year 2022 saw Indians start travelling big again, and cities swinging back open for business after the pandemic. Uber trips during the year covered as many as 4.5 billion kilometres, which is the distance from Earth all the way to Neptune, the last planet in the solar system since Pluto got kicked out of the team”

Uber India’s president Prabhjeet Singh shared the report on LinkedIn where he stated that Uber had covered “4.5 billion km or the distance to the last planet on the solar system”

Ashneer Grover took a dig at the report and said that Uber should have addressed cancellations and bad ride experiences instead of bringing in the solar system and Milky Way into the report

By sharing the Uber President’s post which has since been deleted. The former BharatPe chairman wrote,

“Who needs to take an Uber to the Moon? What customers have been facing are cancellations and bad cab experiences — address them head-on. You guys are going down the same path as WhatsApp with these messages”

As per Uber – they made trips as long as Milky Way in India. So Mars ki sawaari aap kiske saath karna chahenge? @UberINSupport @Uber

The options included Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Uber Bhaiya if not cancel, and koi airport hi pahucha do (just drop me at the airport).

Ashneer didn’t stop there, when the Uber President, Prabhjeet Singh deleted his post, the Shark Tank India season 1 judge wrote back on LinkedIn,

“Arre waah — 100 feedback comments aa gaye to Prabhjeet Singh (Uber India Country Manager) ne apni post hi delete kar di (Oh wow — when 100 feedback comments came, Prabhjeet Singh deleted his post). Country Managers seem more keen to manage their own image than their business”

Seems like Ashneer is really disappointed by Uber India’s services.
