Recently, the video of businessman Ashneer Grover has been going viral in which he was seen calling out Ernst & Young Company’s work culture. In the video, he shared a controversial experience about his visit to the EY office.
After leaving his role as CFO of Grofers, Grover was called for an interview for a job at EY and the offer he received of Rs 1 crore. So, he decided to get office’s tour before joining it However, during the tour, things went so much wrong for Ashneer that in order to get out early, he made up a story of chest ache. Calling the place dead, Grover said,
They were such dead people, only their last rites were remaining.
Surprisingly, Grover also made a strong claim regarding workplace culture, saying that meaningful work occurs in toxic environments. Defending toxic workspaces as productive, while dismissing non-toxic environments as ineffective, he said,

If someone says a place has a toxic culture, that’s a good place. Real work happens there. You’ll find plenty of other non-toxic places.
