Sneha Dubey anjana om kashyap

Sneha Dubey, a name that became famous in India overnight, not because her video and photo went viral, but because of the assertive manner in which she cancelled Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s rant on Kashmir before the United Nations Assembly.

On Friday, a young Indian diplomat used the country’s right to respond when Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan raised the topic of Kashmir in his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Apart from her UNGA speech, Sneha’s another video that went viral

Sneha, an IFS officer from the 2012 batch, dominated social media talks on Saturday when a video of her furious UN address went viral. Slamming Pakistan for its involvement in fostering te##orism, Sneha stated in United Nations Security Council,

“Pakistan holds the ignoble record of hosting the largest number of te##orists proscribed by the UNSC.”

She went on to say that Pakistan provided shelter to Osama bin Laden and Pakistan’s administration still considers him a martyr. She also reiterated that the entire union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh were, are and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India.

Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of attention focused on her in the aftermath of the event.

That’s why many Indian media channels focused their reporting on her. Aaj Tak’s anchor Anjana Om Kashyap was one of those determined to get her on TV screens for her media house.

After annihilating Imran Khan so amazingly and fiercely supported India’s stand, it is natural Sneha now want some rest but Anjana Om Kashyap had different plans for her. What happened then was that Kashyap entered a room where Sneha Dubey was seated or perhaps resting.

Kashyap then proceeded to enter a room where the young Indian diplomat was spotted seated. Kashyap looked to be blocked from entering the room, but in typical Aaj Tak style, she forced her way in by stating confidently, “Ek minute (One minute).” She went on to say,

“Sneha Dubey is the same official who was heard by the country with immense pride. I know you don’t want to speak on the record, but the whole of India wants to listen to you. It may be a routine job for you, but this is huge.”

Sneha stood up from her chair, folded her hands, and showed Kashyap the door, which was nothing short of an epic insult for the renowned Aaj Tak anchor. She said,

“Whatever I had to say, I’ve already said.”

She motioned Kashyap to leave again, this time pointing to the door. Kashyap, who was obviously red-faced, had no choice but to go.

Anjana will never forget this humiliation

It doesn’t matter if you’re a famous TV anchor or simply a regular person; when someone flatly refuses you on live television, it’s certain to be a bit humiliating. The Aaj Tak anchor was also subjected to the same punishment.

It is also a lesson for those who do not respect other’s privacy. This incident again exposed one thing that the media don’t care about your privacy whether you are a celebrity or a common man. Unfortunately, the Indian media don’t operate the way they should. The entire event was videotaped, and Kashyap can be seen entering a room where the young Indian diplomat was sitting.
