Anand Mahindra Responds To Twitter User’s Demand Of Thar For PV Sindhu After Olympic Bronze Win

As a result, PV Sindhu won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. India’s star shuttler has now become the first Indian to won two individual Olympic medals for India in Olympics.

PV Sindhu, 26-year-old Indian Shuttler, beat Chinese Shuttler and world no. 9, He Bing Jiao by 21-13 and 21-15 and snatched a bronze medal from her after losing the semi-finals by 18-21, 12-21 against top-ranked Taiwanese Shuttler, Tai Tzu Ying.

Sindhu played wonderfully, only a day after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Tai Tzu Ying in the semi-finals. While playing at her peak, Sindhu was defeated by a player who played a superb game against her. This was Sindhu’s second consecutive Olympic participation. It must have been a letdown for everyone and Sindhu also.

But this bronze medal is a tribute to Sindhu and her teammates’ mental toughness that they were able to put aside their sadness and anger and come back with a solid plan to beat Bing Jiao.

“I didn’t know whether to be sad that I have a chance to play final or be happy that I have another chance. But I am very happy now with this medal and very proud.”

In the wake of her historic victory, people began praising the athlete on social media. Many famous such as PM Narendra Modi, Tapsee Pannu, Anand Mahindra, Abhinav Bindra praised her performance on Twitter and other social sites.

There was one Twitter user who caught many reactions demanding the Mahindra Thar for PV Sindhu as an honour for her historic achievement.

Mr. Wadewale, a Twitter user, wrote, “She deserves Thar for her performance. #TharforPVsindhu”, and tagged Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra.

This guy’s tweet even attracted Mahindra group’s chairman, Anand Mahindra. In response to the user’s demand, Anand Mahindra rushed to Twitter to reply and told that she already owns a Mahindra Thar in her garage. He also tweeted a picture of PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik riding a red Mahindra Thar from 2016.

Anand Mahindra had stated on Twitter that after PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik won gold at the Rio Olympics 2016, the firm presented them with a brand-new personalised SUV. Sakshi Malik earned a bronze medal, while PV Sindhu won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics. Anand Mahindra praised PV Sindhu’s performance, resilience, and devotion in another tweet.
