Superstar Prabhas’ upcoming movie Adipurush, which is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, is all set to be released on June 16th finally.

For the unversed, the movie was initially scheduled to be released on August 11th, 2022, however, it received massive backlash from the fans after the release of its teaser. So, the makers reworked the movie, especially on the VFX front, and pushed the release date. Now, the movie is finally all set to hit the theaters.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush will hit the big screens on June 16th and will grace the screens in 5 different languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Recently, the team of Adipurush made an official announcement regarding the release of the movie. In their statement, the makers announced that one seat in every theatre across the country will be unsold during Adipurush screening. The unsold seat will be reserved for none other than Lord Hanuman to celebrate the faith of people.

Yes, you read that right. The makers have decided to dedicate one seat to Lord Hanuman. The statement read:

“Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurusha built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman.”

Adipurush is a mythological movie, based on the Indian epic, Ramayana. It is written and directed by Om Raut. In the movie, Prabhas will be seen essaying the role of Raghava (Lord Rama), Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Goddess Sita), Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana and Saif Ali Khan portrays Lankesh (Raavan).

The movie, which is made on a whopping budget of INR 500 crore, ran into several hurdles ever since its inception. From backlash for poor VFX effects to Saif Ali Khan getting mercilessly slammed for his comment on Ravana’s character. The movie has seen it all before its release. However, crossing all the hurdles, the movie is now all set for its grand release in multiple languages across the world.
