11 Tragic Accidents On The Sets Of Famous Movies That Almost Cost Lives

Acting seems to be so fun and effortless but the incidents of actors and actresses being landed up in dangerous and life taking circumstances while shooting can change your mindsets.

Below are some of the accidents that took place while shooting of a Bollywood film:

1. For a shot in the movie Singh Is Bliing, Akshay Kumar decided to jump past a hula-hoop all lighted with fire.

Sadly, he fell through it which resulted in burns on his leg.

2. At the time of shooting a heated fight scene in Coolie along with Puneet Issar, Amitabh Bachchan got mistakenly punched and hit the table.

He was without any delay taken to the hospital from the sets of the movie Coolie and was even announced critic for seconds before being put on a ventilator.

3. Kajol badly bruised her face and even lost her memory for few days at the time of filming a cycling scene with SRK for the song Yeh Ladki Hai Deewani in the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Despite this, the actresses never forgot about Ajay Devgn and was continuously asking for him at her hotel in Mauritius.

4. John Abraham was by mistake shot by Anil Kapoor while filming for the movie Shootout at Wadala.

As per the reports, Anil Kapoor was supposed to shoot a blank bullet at John Abraham from 15 feet away, but the bullet was fired at a distance of 4.9 feet away. The close range caused a fatal shot, and though John wasn’t badly hurt, the bullet passed through the side of his neck and he collapsed.

5. At the time of the shooting Khakee, a jeep, which was instructed to stop a few feet away from Aishwarya Rai, by mistake lost control that left her with a fractured foot.

6. The most iconic story in the Bollywood film industry – when Sunil Dutt saved Nargis from a fire that went out of control while filming for the movie Mother India.

The crew was about to shoot a fire sequence in the movie. With the direction of wind going haywire, Nargis was stuck amidst the fire. It was then that Sunil Dutt, without thinking twice about his own well-being, plunged into the fire with a blanket to save Nargis.

Nargis and Sunil then eventually fell in love and tied a knot soon after.

7. While filming a sequence for the movie Darr, where SRK was instructed to jump on a sofa where Anupam Kher was sitting.

But just exactly when Shah Rukh jumped, Anupam lifted his leg that eventually fractured three of Sharukhan’s ribs.

8. While filming a dancing scene for the film Gunday, Ranveer Singh landed down a platform and sustained many stitches on his face.

He was also badly hurt while filming a sequence for Bajirao Mastani on a horse and had to go through surgery.

9. While filming a sequence for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput accidentally hurt his ribs while doing a signature helicopter shot.

He was even admitted to the hospital for three weeks post-surgery.

10. Hrithik Roshan was about to cause an accident with his co-stars, Farhan and Abhay at the sets of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

In a sequence where, Hrithik parked a car with Abhay, as Farhan sat in the backseat, but forgot to pull the handbrake. So the car started to slide down towards a gorge, and Farhan jumped out of the car. Fortunately, the three of them were safe but were definitely shaken up.

 11. At the time of filming for the song, Gerua for the movie Diwale, Kajol saved Shah Rukh Khan’s life.

At the time of filming near a waterfall in Iceland, SRK accidentally slipped and almost lost his life, but Kajol firmly held onto the actor.
