In recent years, becoming spiritual has become a trend in India. That’s why India has seen a notable rise in young individuals taking on the roles of spiritual leaders and motivational orators. However, the most striking feature of this trend is that many kids are also giving up their normal lives and taking spiritual paths.
Among them is 10-year-old Abhinav Arora, who recently became famous on internet as a ‘bal sant.’ He worships Lord Krishna as a little sibling and regards himself as his older brother, “Balram.” This self-styled child saint has become a sensation after he gained millions of followers on social media. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also honored him as the youngest spiritual orator.

While his popularity is at its peak, many also criticised him and raised doubts over his spiritual knowledge. He is once again in the news after he failed to respond to simple questions regarding Lord Krishna in an interview.
Abhinav Arora was criticized for his lack of knowledge about Lord Krishna
The now-viral video clip is from an interview with ABP News. When host Kislay Gaurav quizzes Arora about Lord Krishna, he answers something that was not expected.
Anchor questioned:

Who gave the Sudarshan Chakra to Lord Krishna?
Abhinav replied:
Lord Shiva.
However, to everyone’s surprise, Lord Parashuram is the right response, according to mythology. According to popular belief, Lord Shiv created the Sudarshan Chakra and gave it to Lord Vishnu. Later on, it made its way to Parashuram, who is regarded as one of Lord Vishnu’s ten avatars.
The interviewer then asked him what Lord Krishna’s name means. To this, Abhinav answered,
One who removes suffering.
Again, he answered wrong. The true meaning of Krishna is “black” or “dark.”

After that, the host modifies the query to ask,
Which language does the word Krishna come from?
However, Arora reiterates the same response:
One who removes suffering is the meaning of the name Krishna.
In addition, the ABP News anchor asks him who Vasudev Yadav is. The sole accurate response Arora gives is that “Vasudev is his (Lord Krishna’s) father.”
But there is a catch. Krishna’s name is pronounced Vāsudev (long a), which translates to “son of Vasudev” (short a). Interestingly, Vāsudev is the father of Lord Krishna, according to Arora.

Is Bal Sant’s persona fake?
Recently, Abhinav Arora made news for the wrong reasons when a video of spiritual leader Swami Rambhadracharya requesting him to leave the stage twice during a religious event in Vrindavan went viral.
Later, a series of videos ‘exposing’ him and casting doubt on his story were released by YouTuber Ankit, who owns the OnlyDesi channel. Ankit claimed that Abhinav’s public image is not the product of his inherent religious tendencies but rather is the product of his parents’ deliberate efforts, particularly his father, Tarun Raj Arora.
