Given the number of orders they receive, getting wrong food orders from online food aggregator apps is not uncommon. They have millions of customers who rely on these food apps to order their comfort food. One such incident occurred recently when a man ordered veg biryani on the online food delivery platform Zomato and received chicken biryani instead.
A video went viral on social media where a man received chicken biryani in a food box with a veg sticker
In the video, the man claims that he received chicken biryani after ordering veg biryani on the food delivery platform “Zomato”. The customer recorded a video of the food box with a green-coloured veg sticker over it and shared the clip on social media. The shocking incident is going viral on social media.
The clip was shared on the X account @mit_waghela on April 17. The X user said that he ordered a veg and a non-veg biryani from a famous biryani joint – “The Biryani Life” on Zomato. He claimed that he received both chicken biryani, in a box that had a veg sticker on it.

In the video, he showed the chicken pieces in the biryani, and also mentioned that out of the two biryanis he ordered, the chicken biryani was proper, but he received chicken biryani instead of the veg biryani.

The man shared the video of the major mistake on his social media account, tagging Zomato with the caption,
“I have order 2 biryani for my office colleague via @zomato one is veg and second one is non veg .. I have received both non veg biryani … In top of that the put sticker of veg biryani.”

Zomato noticed the viral post and responded to the incident
Zomato replied to the viral post asking for the details of the user and wrote,

A similar incident happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh. A Hindu female lawyer who ordered veg food online received non-veg Pizza and Pasta from Zomato. When her family members checked and found meat pieces in the pasta, the woman decided to file a complaint in connection with the matter.
