You must be aware of entrepreneur Namita Thapar, one of the Sharks of Shark Tank India and the executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals. She became a household name after she became one of the female judges of the business reality show. Namita being a Shark Tank India investor has invested in several startups. She is also the founder of the Thapar Entrepreneur Academy.
Namita recently held a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session where she was trolled for her generational wealth
The trolls credited her success only to generational wealth, they commented that she owes her success and wealth to the pharmaceutical company founded by her father, Satish Mehta. Ms. Thapar even faced online criticism for calling herself an entrepreneur after having a family business.

In a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and investor on Shark Tank India, addressed the comments on her accomplishments.
Namita Thapar politely shut down trolls who credited her success only to generational wealth
During the AMA, Mrs Thapar responded politely but firmly to a user who questioned her where she would be without “daddy’s money.”
Listing all her credentials, Namitra replied,
“I am a CA (first attempt)…MBA …fantastic credentials …I’m sure I would do just fine even without daddys money my friend!”

Several other Reddit users echoed these sentiments, questioning Mrs Thapar’s claim to the title of “entrepreneur” given her involvement with a family business.
One person asked,
“You didn’t build your own business so how do you give advice to others building their OWN business?”
To which Mrs. Thapar responded,
“Scaling a family business requires an entrepreneurial mindset too”
Namita Thapar also addressed concerns about her investment strategy, especially regarding businesses outside her area of expertise.
