Meet Nawaz Modi, Wife Of Billionaire Gautam Singhania Who Got Separated After 32 Years Of Marriage

On Monday, November 13, 2023, Gautam Singhania, the chairman of Raymond Group, announced his separation from his wife, Nawaz Modi Singhania. She is the founder of Body Art Fitness. Gautam and Nawaz have been married for 32 years.

Gautam Singhania made this announcement after the video of Nawaz Modi went viral on the internet. In the video, Nawaz Modi can be seen alleging that she was stopped from attending her husband’s Diwali party on Sunday.

After this incident, Gautam shared a post on X saying,

“This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past” and “It is my belief that Nawaz and I will pursue different paths.”

He didn’t provide any other information regarding the details of the separation and custody of their two children, named Niharika and Nisa. In his post, he also asked for privacy and respect for his personal matters and decisions from the public.

Nawaz Modi family

Nawaz Modi was born in 1970 in Mumbai. She is the daughter of Nader Modi, a famous lawyer. Her parents got separated in the year 1980 when she was only 10 years old. She holds a law degree, just like her father.

She has two brothers, one of whom is named Rishad Modi. Both brothers chose the same career path as their father. They both are lawyers.

Nawaz Modi completed her schooling at the New Activity School and later went to the Cathedral and John Cannon Schools in Mumbai. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. After completing her studies, she went to Government Law College and KC Law College in Mumbai to get a law degree.

After her venture became famous, she established a fully equipped gym. She was the first one to open a Pilates and Gyrotonics studio in India. Later, she expanded her business and opened many other sites.

How did Gautam Singhania and Nawaz Modi meet?

Gautam Singhania is the son of Vijaypat Singhania, the founder of Raymond Group, and Ashabai Singhania. He was born in 1965. After his father’s demise, he took over the Raymond Group as its chairman and managing director.

Gautam and Nawaz met each other in 1991 in London. They fell in love and started dating. Both dated each other for almost 8 years and then got married in 1999. They had a grand wedding, which was attended by celebrities, politicians, and business tycoons. Together, they had two children, one boy and one girl, named Nisa Singhania and Niharika Singhania.

Gautam Singhania owned the second-most luxurious home after Mukesh Ambani’s “Antillia”. The estimated price of this house is around Rs 6,000 crore. It is the second-tallest building located in Mumbai, India.

It comprises 30 floors, including well-designed residential space, two swimming pools, reserved parking, a spa, and a helipad. According to The New York Post, JK House also has a private museum that celebrates the Singhania family’s century-long history in the fabric industry.

As of today, Nawaz Modi and Gautam Singhania haven’t officially filed the divorce case in court. Gautam Singhania only announced their separation. They didn’t provide any information regarding the custody of their children. Gautam only added in his tweet,

“We will continue to do what is best for our two precious diamonds, Niharika and Nisa.”
