For the uninitiated, Shark Tank India is a replica of an American business-inspired show. Its major objective is to support aspiring business owners by persuading some of the biggest and most successful CEOs in the nation to invest in their ventures.

But there is one moment from the first season of Shark Tank India that has left an indelible impression on everyone. It comes from the pitch that everyone remembers the most.

Not only did Jugadu Kamlesh win over viewers’ hearts, but Peyush Bansal, the co-founder of LensKart, also rose to popularity as their preferred shark on the program because of his passion for supporting gifted entrepreneurs and investments with a clear purpose.

Who is Jugadu Kamlesh?

After making an appearance on Shark Tank India, Kamlesh Nanasaheb Ghumare, also known as Jugadu Kamlesh, earned an investment of $10,000 for 40% ownership from Shark Peyush Bansal as well as a $20,000 flexible no-interest loan.

Kamlesh began his business path since he didn’t want to work for someone else. He has always been motivated to find an easy solution to the issues farmers confront. He came up with a solution and created a pesticide cart after observing his father and several other farmers struggle with the pesticide tank and the negative effects it was having on their health.

Before presenting the product to the Shark Tank India judges in 2021, he made a number of adjustments to it. He uploaded a video of himself using the pesticide cart to YouTube, and it quickly gained popularity. After then, he was mentioned in various news outlets.

He gained further fame after making an appearance on Shark Tank India. He received recognition from Zee Hindustan’s RISE (Startup to Unicorn) as well.

“I invested in the entrepreneur and if you asked me he is the best among all. He has a vision, confidence and he was vigilant. I was impressed by him because of his positive attitude and even when the sharks denied investing in him, he remained positive and was continuously smiling. He won my heart when he said he won’t leave Naru which shows his humility. I respect Jugaadu Kamlesh as an entrepreneur because ‘bande me hai dum’.”
