Apoorva Makhija’s Ex-Boyfriend, Utsav Dahiya, Accuses Her Of Cheating And Spreading Lies Online

Known by many as The Rebel Kid, Apoorva Makhija is one of India’s most well-known digital content creators. Born into a middle-class household, she first studied engineering. However, fate has other plans for her. She quickly took a different route due to her creative instincts. Her uncensored, funny tone in her vlogs, rants, and skits sets her apart from the polished image of traditional influencers, making her go viral on social media.

Her ambition soon extended beyond social media. She also dabbled in acting. However, despite immense prominence, she frequently finds herself in controversies. In early 2025, Apoorva encountered one of her most challenging times when she received harsh criticism for her participation in India’s Got Latent. Now it was followed by her personal drama that recently unfolded in the public eye. Her ex-boyfriend released a song accusing her of cheating and fabricating stories to gain sympathy. Due to this, the YouTuber became engaged in controversy once more, sparking internet discussions.

Apoorva Mukhija’s ex-boyfriend, Utsav Dahiya, released a song about Apoorva’s infidelity

Utsav Dahiya, the ex-boyfriend of Apoorva Mukhija, recently tried to dispel rumors about their relationship by creating and posting a song named ‘Cute Little Red-Flag’ on social media. In the song, Utsav claimed that Apoorva had cheated on him and then wanted to reconcile for reasons of content. He made fun of the YouTuber by saying that she only referred to him as “ghatiya” in order to gain more followers and social media interaction.

Captioning the video, he wrote,

Ab agar koi aur bakwaas kari toh main seedha receipts nikalunga.

Furthermore, he went on to indirectly caution Apoorva to never gain sympathy by spreading lies and to assassinate someone’s character for the sake of generating content. He wrote,

Never try to gain sympathy by fabricating lies or pushing false narratives just to make content and to assassinate someone’s character online. Having a big following doesn’t give you the right to bully your way by rage-baiting your audience and unleashing them on others.

Utsav then went on to share his side of the story, saying,

When I was being falsely painted as a cheat and an abuser because of things you said, I reached out to you and your agency hoping to find a way to deal with the hate. Instead, I was told “you’re a nobody, you should be happy you got to date her”. So here’s a message from that ‘nobody’: you tried your level best (and I won’t lie, it wasn’t easy), but I’m still here, still standing. That should tell you something: your big numbers only matter on an app. There’s a real and much bigger world outside – beyond lies and kalesh.

Lastly, Utsav emphasized that despite enduring all this, he is still standing on his own. He concludes,

Truth doesn’t need ‘followers’, it stands on its own. Toh tum chalao apna ghar kalesh se, but kisi ke baare mein jhoot bolna band karo. Baki logo ko life mein dhanke kaam karne do. Grow up, kid. (and here’s a rhyme for you that might be more up your speed …. in case it helps)
