Ashish Chanchlani finally speaks up on misogynistic troll targeting Elli AvrRam but later deletes the tweet

YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani recently made headlines after posting a seemingly romantic picture with actress Elli AvrRam, captioned FINALLY. While the photo later turned out to be a promotional post for their upcoming song, it sparked speculation about a possible relationship and, unfortunately, also triggered a wave of online hate, particularly directed at Elli.

Some users went as far as making deeply personal and misogynistic remarks about her, with one disturbing comment reading, “Her body count is more than the weight you have lost, Ashish.” Such language, especially the usage of “body count” as an insult, is often weaponised against women on the internet and reflects a larger issue of online gender-based abuse.

As the hate grew louder, one user on X (formerly Twitter) called Ashish out directly, writing,

The tweet expressed disappointment at Ashish for staying silent while his fans allegedly targeted Elli. Finally addressing the matter, Ashish broke his silence and responded to the criticism.

“I wanna clear something before you all. Make no mistake. Those ‘people’ in my comments are not my audience/fans or followers. Half of them don’t even follow me. It’s a free platform and an open tweet, and all the disgusting things they said will never be supported or encouraged by me or my fans.”

He continued by saying,

“My subs are not like this — anyone who has been closely following me for a decade knows what I preach in my fandom. Rest assured, it’s pathetic what happened and I’ll be addressing it soon.”

Despite his strong stance, Ashish deleted the tweet within hours. However, screenshots of his response quickly went viral.

However, it was later revealed that the photo was actually a promotional post for their upcoming music video Chandaniya. But before all this, things already took a turn for the worse. A section of social media users began targeting Elli with harsh and misogynistic comments.

During all this, Ashish chose to remain silent, which didn’t sit well with many of his fans and followers. People expected him to call out the hate being directed at Elli, especially since the post came from his account. His silence was seen as disappointing and sparked further backlash online.

Elli, on the other hand, chose not to respond directly to the trolling. Instead, she took to Instagram Stories and shared a DM that read, “Your s*xiest body part is your mind,” and captioned it “True story.” It was a subtle yet graceful way of rising above the hate.

Now that Ashish has finally spoken up and addressed the trolling—but has since deleted his tweet—fans are once again left confused. Many are wondering why he chose to take it down, and whether his stand will be followed up with further action.
