I tried Zipline once in Kerala a long time ago.
After seeing their overall setup, safety protocol etc. I’ve never tried it again.
It’s better to stay away from rides, parasailing, gliding etc. as most of these are run by novices who have no idea of safety.

Absolutely horrifying. These seasonal adventure setups often lack proper safety checks or trained supervision. Authorities need to regulate and audit these regularly before someone pays with their life.

Instead of calling it “Zip Line Accident”, it should be referred to as “Zip Line Criminal Negligence”.

Such comments highlight the troubling practice of safety lapses that have occurred not only in zip lining but also in other adventure sports areas like paragliding, where fatal accidents have triggered an immediate regulatory crackdown.
Precautionary measures that should be taken to avoid such accidents
In response, local authorities must act on better safety measures. Inspectors should audit the zip line’s equipment, focusing on pitfalls like cable integrity, regular maintenance logs, staff training, and rider safety briefings.
Regulations such as pre‑ride safety checks and operator licensing could significantly reduce future mishaps.
The Nagpur girl’s fall in Manali is a stark reminder of a deeper, systemic failure in adventure tourism safety in the country. If not addressed rapidly, such incidents risk turning thrilling holiday experiences into tragedies. Officials should take immediate steps to enforce stronger oversight and restore faith in Manali as an exclusive adventure destination.
