We have often seen mainstream media outlets and people associated with the mainstream media blame “trolls” on social media for spreading wrong information. Although media itself has gotten far too many things wrong, sometimes some of the information circulated on social media also is not accurate.
Recently Rana Ayyub, who is commonly seen on mainstream media debates used her twitter account to share something which was in a very bad taste. While the world is facing the big pandemic of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Rana took a dig with very insensitive tweet.

Rana Ayyub is an Indian journalist and writer. She is the author of the investigative book Gujarat Files: Anatomy of a Cover Up. Rana worked for Tehelka as an investigative journalist and her big assignment was to carry out the sting operation upon which her book Gujarat Files was based.
