After the video went viral online, railway authorities reportedly launched an enquiry into the matter. During the investigation, officials found that no authorised catering staff had been deployed onboard Train No. 12809-10 between May 20 and May 22, 2026, suggesting that the vendor seen in the clip was allegedly unauthorised.

The Railways further stated that the matter was thoroughly investigated and necessary instructions have now been issued to prevent similar incidents in the future.
