Recently, yet another shocking incident surfaced online where a vendor selling samosas was seen sitting directly on the floor of a moving train. What disturbed many even more was that he had rested his feet on an open crate containing the samosas that were meant to be sold to passengers, sparking outrage across social media.

After the video went viral online, railway authorities reportedly launched an enquiry into the matter. During the investigation, officials found that no authorised catering staff had been deployed onboard Train No. 12809-10 between May 20 and May 22, 2026, suggesting that the vendor seen in the clip was allegedly unauthorised.

The Railways further stated that the matter was thoroughly investigated and necessary instructions have now been issued to prevent similar incidents in the future. Authorities also directed onboard service providers to immediately report any unauthorised hawkers or suspicious activities for prompt action.
