According to her account, the women were left stunned after witnessing the act inside the enclosed lift area. What made the situation even more shocking was the man’s unapologetic response when confronted later at the metro platform. Deepshika revealed that when she questioned him over his behaviour, he casually responded,
“Tum karlo jo karna hai (Do whatever you can).”

The woman later said,
“Galti nahi kari aapne (Did not you do something wrong).”

Delhi police and DMRC react after viral Kalkaji metro lift incident
Soon after the disturbing video from Kalkaji Mandir Metro Station began circulating online, both Delhi Police and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation issued statements addressing the controversy. Responding to the viral post, authorities said the elderly man seen in the video was reportedly dealing with a medical emergency at the time of the incident.
According to Delhi Police, the matter was examined by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Metro) after social media outrage intensified. The police said,

“The old person seen in the viral video was travelling from Jamia Metro Station to Faridabad Metro Station.”
They further added that the incident took place around 9:40 PM on May 15, 2026, during an interchange at Kalkaji Metro Station. Officials further explained that the man had allegedly been trying to locate a nearby toilet facility but was unable to do so before, “the situation went beyond control.”

The authorities also clarified that the man attempted to urinate in a bottle while inside the lift, following which passengers raised objections and alerted metro staff. “Necessary action was taken,” Delhi Police said, confirming that the individual was later penalised by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation under Section 59 of the DMRC Act for creating a nuisance inside metro premises.
