The controversy started when a social media user uploaded a video clip that claimed to be Arvind Kejriwal traveling in a moving car near Delhi Airport. In the video clip with ANI’s logo, the politician can be seen sitting in the vehicle without wearing his seatbelt, thereby breaking traffic regulations.

The viral post also addressed the authorities, calling upon them to notice the event and take action. Along with the video, a user named Hardik Bhavsar wrote,

The Delhi Police responded to the viral video by recognizing the problem and asking for more details about the incident from Hardik.

Later, the Delhi police again responded, saying that local authorities have been informed about the incident and they will look into the matter.

Without revealing full details about the penalty or process followed, the police seemed to be investigating the matter based on traffic regulations.
