As social media continued to flood with speculations, even as a section of users began to blame Palash for the sudden change in plans, Palak issued a firm yet heartfelt clarification to end the noise.
Palak said the marriage was postponed due to a medical emergency in Smriti Mandhana’s family. Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was admitted to the hospital on the day of the marriage. Thus, both families immediately called off all ceremonies. In the statement, she called upon people to refrain from spreading unfounded rumors and asked for privacy for both families. However, the fact is that Smriti has only removed the posts related to the wedding. The older ones with Palash, including birthday wishes and personal photos, are still there on her profile.
