5. His father was not happy with his work decision

He applied to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune back in 2005. He couldn’t get in the first time he applied but got through the second time. Unfortunately, his family was not happy with this decision. He decided that he didn’t want to miss out on such an opportunity and moved to Pune when his dad was out on a business trip.

In an interview, he opened up about how he convinced his mother to allow him to go to Pune. Vijay decided to call his father before leaving the house to inform him about his decision. Apparently, his father asked him to leave before he reached home, so he took a train to Pune.
