Vidya Malvade is an Indian actress mainly working in the Bollywood film Industry. She studied law and worked as an air hostess. Her first husband Captain Arvind Singh Bagga working with Alliance Air died in a plane crash (2000). At the same time her career was not on track which made her fall into depression due to this unfortunate situation. But later in 2009, Vidya married to Sanjay Dayma, who worked with Ashutosh Gowariker on the Oscar-nominated Lagaan.

Vidya started her career with Vikram Bhatt’s Inteha (2003), which flopped at the box office. After a string of unsuccessful movies and several advertisements, she acted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Chak De (2007). She received critical acclamation for playing the role of a goalkeeper and the Captain of the Indian Women’s national hockey team. Her next movie was Kidnap (2008) where she was seen playing the wife of Sanjay Dutt. Later in the  year she also participated in the reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. Vidya was recently seen in the movie Heartbeats where she played the role of Naina.
