Each of the country on this planet has undoubtedly its own traditions, habits or culture that they are very proud of, but the same culture, traditions or habits appear weird to other people, around them. The same theory goes with India. We all have to agree on one point, that India is without any second thoughts one among the most unique countries in the world. It amazes us with its vibrant contrasts, attracts us towards its traditions and culture, and remains a mystery for the majority of foreigners.
Here we have collected few things that we Indians do that foreigners think are totally weird.

1. In India people show respect to elders by touching their feet and getting their blessing. Anyone who does not belong to India will find it weird.
2. Calling anyone and everyone we meet by aunty and uncle.
3. Using water instead of toilet paper to clean after taking a dump. We don’t have a culture of using paper.
4. Having songs in the middle of films that do not have any connection to the plot.
5. A single language in India can have a lot of different dialects, and all of them could exist within a few kilometers.
6. We all live with our parents here and no, we don’t think we need to move out when we are 18.
7. Toilets that are Indian but actually in a western style, are not all that common here but I am pretty sure people use them.
8. There a trend of clicking pictures with random foreigners.
9. Using your old clothes for cleaning the house by cutting and tearing them as rags is quite common here.
10. Calling your boss sir/madam.
11. Bride’s sister stealing the groom’s shoes at the wedding is definitely something foreigners won’t get.
12. Oiling your hair with a lot of coconut oil.
13. Adults in India thinks that WWE is a real sport.
14. Students who took science acting like they are above everybody else.
15. Adding Indian spices and making your own version of Chinese food.
16. Maths teacher taking over the games or your free period is something only students in India experience.
17. Banning alcohol on national holidays. Well, the other countries just want their people to chill and relax on national holidays.
18. Fairness creams are still all the rage in India.
19. Daily soap operas that are being aired for 15 years and are still going on!
20. Arresting journalists seems to like the usual things that the people of India have just sort of accepted.
