Sonu Sood takes jibe at Kangana

Sonu Sood is one actor who made the most number of headlines this year for his good deeds. Termed as Messiah of the poor for what he did for the poor, especially the migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown. The Dabangg star has also been vocal about his opinions and we get proof of the same through one of his recent interviews in which he spoke in detail about the film industry.

The differences between Kangana Ranaut and Sonu Sood started on the sets of Manikarnika, the movie about which Kangana is quite proud about and has also been in many controversies. Recently, Manikarnika co-director Krish also opened up on how Kangana took all the credit of the movie.

Sonu Sood was also a part of Manikarnika, but he walked out of it. He had opted out of Manikarnika after having shot for the major portions of his role. He was later replaced by Zeeshan Ayyub. While Kangana claimed that he “refused to work under a woman director”, he, on the other hand, denied the allegations.

After a long time, the duo once again seems to be at loggerheads since Sonu recently took an indirect jibe at Kangana. While speaking about the media trial the film industry has faced this year. He said he didn’t like the fact that some of them who belonged to the industry were against it.

While giving an interview to Bollywood Hungama, Sonu said,

“Of course I was bothered, but what really upset me was seeing some of our own people speak against the industry. This is that industry for which he leave our homes and families. It is an industry that fulfils dreams. And now, to see people point fingers at it, you can imagine how it must have affected us.”

Sonu was quoted as saying on Barkha Dutt’s Mojo Story.

“Kangana is a friend of mine from many years, and I don’t want to hurt her sentiments. But to talk about it, I will say that when we had shot for major portions of Manikarnika, I asked my director that we need to start shooting again and he said that he received an email saying that he is not going to be a part of the project anymore.”
