Mumbai Police had barred the booking of banquet halls, party clubs, boats, etc for the parties on December 31st night. Large gatherings at Marine Drive, Gateway of India and other places was also banned.
In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic and the night curfew put during New Year’s eve in Mumbai, the Mumbai Police’s social media team came up with some quirky tweets and reply on Twitter.

On 31 December 2020, Mumbai police advised Mumbaikars to stay home on New Year’s Eve during the night curfew as a COVID-19 precaution. All this was done to maintain social distancing norms.
