Ganesh Balakrishnan, a shoe brand founder, broke down into tears during his emotional pitch. Although he didn’t receive the funding, he was showered with immense love from the fans.

The founder of Flatheads Shoes, Ganesh Balakrishnan, presented his pitch with utmost honesty. At the end of his pitch, he revealed that he has already spent all his money in order to make his business flourish yet is currently spending out of his own pocket to save his company. He broke down in front of the sharks saying that if he doesn’t get the funding from the sharks, he will have to take up a job and rethink his business. When he has enough money he’ll continue his business.

He also teared up as he spoke about how his dream is being shattered and how emotionally taxing it is to rebuild something on which he spent years already in the first place.

Ganesh said,

“Iske liye funding nahi aati hai toh mere paas paise toh hain nahi. Toh main shayad job dhundna shuru karuga. Aur jab mauka mile toh wapis shuru karne ki koshish karuga”

Fans got very inspired when Aman Gupta backed Ganesh’s honesty and advised him that,

Anupam Mittal said,

“I have an open offer for you for a job”

Vineeta Singh confessed,

“Sir, I have been in those shoes”

The sharks then hugged him and saluted his never-giving-up spirit. The sharks ensured him that this is a dry phase that he is going through. It comes in the lives of every entrepreneur when they are drowning in self-doubt but once they understand and analyze the problem, they will only rise in their game. Very interestingly, the sales of Flatheads Shoes rose exponentially in just one night after the episode got aired.

After his pitch, when the sharks were done scrutinizing his business model and the vision for the company, Peyush and Vineeta offered a deal to Ganesh in which they demanded a 33.3 percent share of his company. However, Ganesh chose to stick to the advice given by the judges.
