After Mukesh’s father’s death on 6 July 2002, he took over Reliance Industries Limited and Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited after his mother split the company to stop the feud between the brothers as Dhirubhai left no will stating the distribution of his great empire. Ambani directed the creation of one of the largest petroleum refineries at Jamnagar integrated with power generation, port, and other related infrastructures. Reliance reached new heights during his tenure as good as a 17-fold jump in the revenues of the company.
