Imagine what it would have done to Kareena had she taken up the role of Rani. The actress rejected the role because she thought that the director wouldn’t suit her personality.

2. Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela

When asked why Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected the film by maverick director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she said that the role didn’t interest her at all. Later, the role of Leela went to Deepika Padukone and the rest is history.

3. Black

Another Sanjay Leela Bhansali blockbuster rejected by Bebo. Though the reason is not clear, but the actress clearly lost a gem that went on to win 2 National Film Awards. Someone’s loss is someone’s gain.

4. Dil Dhadakne Do

Kareena was offered Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, but she had to turn down the offer. She didn’t cite any reasons, but she ensured that she will definitely do her film if she is offered any role in future.

5. Chennai Express

Kareena Kapoor was also offered Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express but she couldn’t take the offer due to some date issues. The role later went to Deepika Padukone.

6. Shuddhi

The ambitious project by Karan Johar, which was eventually shelved, was scheduled to have Kareena Kapoor Khan paired opposite Hrithik Roshan. The actor left the project citing health reasons following which Bebo also stepped out.

Ameesha Patel’s character Sonia was supposed to be played by Kareena Kapoor. After shooting for few days, Bebo walked out of the film and opted Refugee instead.

9. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali offered Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to Kareena Kapoor Khan. Somehow, things didn’t work out between them and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was signed for the project.

10. Kal Ho Na Ho

It seems like all the major projects went to Kareena Kapoor before making someone else’s career shine. The blockbuster Karan Johar film Kal Ho Na Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan was supposed to have Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role of Naina. Rumours were rife that Bebo was unhappy with the remuneration following which she left the project which went to Preity Zinta.
