The Swedish chef Robert Sandberg had proposed to the Lebanese-American sports show host in Chicago in March 2019. Robert took to Instagram to share his story how he proposed Mia and wrote,
“We went to Chicago this weekend and had a wonderful dinner at Smyth. I proposed to @miakhalifa and she said YES! The ring was hidden in a bowl of dried ingredients and came out as a “new serving”. Mia was to curious and to eager to taste so she started to eat the inedible ingredients. I told her not do it and then I put the ring on the finger. It has been reported that the marriage date of Mia Khalifa has been extended. Actually Mia was going to get married on June this year. But because of the circumstances at this time, Mia has postponed her marriage. Mia herself has given this information through her Instagram account.

If Mia Khalifa and Robert Sandberg marry each other, it will her second marriage. She was reportedly married to her high school beau in February 2011. They separated in 2014 and divorced in 2016.
Mia expressed her pain about postponing her marriage, she took to Instagram to post a picture of her wearing a white wedding dress, while posing in front of mirror for a selfie. Mia posted the image with caption,
“If the world ends before I get a chance to speed walk down the aisle to @robertsandberg, please bury me in one of the 12 dresses hanging in my closet for our would’ve-been wedding week this June.”
