Malaika Arora Finally Speaks On Ex-Boyfriend Arjun Kapoor’s ‘I Am Single’ Comment

At a Singham Again promotional event, he discussed his dating status, disclosing that he is currently single. A widely shared video from the event showed him telling the audience,

Since then, Arjun has been silent. However, Malaika is now speaking out about his remarks and stating that she does not want to discuss her private life in public. When asked about the viral comment, Malaika spoke with ETimes, saying,

I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don’t want to elaborate on much. I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative.

Although neither Malaika nor Arjun had previously spoken out about their breakup, there had been months of rumors that they had “run their course” as a pair but would still respect one another’s privacy.

Malaika hinted at a breakup through Instagram stories

Through her Instagram Stories, Malaika Arora has been keeping her followers guessing. She has been sharing cryptic messages on social media ever since Arjun Kapoor announced their split during the Singham Again promotional event.

Recently, on an Instagram story, Malaika posted a meme on Instagram Stories that said, “My relationship status right now.” It came with the choices, “In a relationship, single, and hehehe.” But it was the third choice with the “hehehe” symbol.

Since they started dating in 2018, rumors about Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor’s romance have persisted. Despite being open at first, they took a low-key approach by 2023. It led to breakup speculations during Arjun’s solo journey. Although observations showed otherwise, reports suggested a rift over different perspectives on marriage.

More lately, there have been rumors of a friendly split, but the couple has decided to keep it quiet. Fans speculated about their current relationship status after Malaika’s absence from Arjun’s birthday celebrations stoked more rumors.
