10 Sensational Things Lalit Modi Said In His Latest Instagram Post To Get Back At Trolls

On July 14, Lalit Modi’s tweet took the internet by storm. Recently, the former IPL founder announced his relationship with the former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. The big declaration of Lalit and Sushmita dating got mixed reactions and since then netizens have been trolling the couple and even circulating memes across social media.

First Sushmita broke her silence and got back at the trolls for calling her a ‘gold digger’, now it’s time for Lalit Modi to speak up and give an apt response to the trolls. The businessman wrote a long and heartfelt post on his Instagram account.

1. Being trolled about tagging the wrong person

Lalit Modi took a dig at the media by stating that though he has tagged the right person in full consciousness when he posted his pictures with Sushmita on Instagram, why is it hell-bent to troll him for the post. He wrote,

Why is the media so obsessed abt trolling me apparently 4 wrongly tagging. Can someone explain – I only did 2 pics on insta- & Tag is correct

2. A note on friendship

Modi stated that two people can be friends if their vibe matches and the timing is right. Why make a big deal about it then? He said,

We R still living in the Middle Ages that 2 people can’t be friends & then if chemistry is right & timing is good✔️

3. Modi slammed the journalists for spreading fake news like Donal Trump and copying Arnab Goswami

He advised the media to live and let others live. He said,

I guess because they R no liable suits in our country every Journo is trying there best to be #arnabgoswami – THE BIGGEST CLOWN. My advise live and Let others live. Write THE RIGHT NEWS – not like #donaldtrump style #Fakenews.

4. Lalit Modi threw some light on the fake news spread by the media about his late wife, Minal

He wrote about his wife Minal Modi and called her the love of his life and best friend. He also added that the media twisted the facts and spread the rumour that Minal was his mother’s friend. He added,

And if u don’t know let me Enlighten u All- departed love of my life #minalmodi was MY BEST FRIEND for 12 years whilst she was married. She was not my mothers friend. That gossip was spread by vested interests. It’s about time to get out of this #crabmentality – hope u know what that means

5. Lalit commented on being called a fugitive

He thrashed the people who call him fugitive by saying that he has achieved much more in his life and for his country than anyone who has been calling him names. He also stated that he is a respectable man and has not been convicted by any court yet. He wrote on his Instagram,

Enjoy when someone prospers. Or does well or does 4 his country. I HOLD MY HEAD HIGHER THEN U ALL Ever can. THOU U CALL ME A “fugitive” – pray & tell me which court has “EVER CONVICTED” me. I will tell u none

6. He also spoke about IPL

He stated that everyone knows it is difficult to establish a business in India in spite of that he has gifted the nation no one has ever had. He added,

TELL ME JUST 1 other person in our beautiful NATION THAT has CREATED WHAT I HAVE. AND GIFTED IT TO THE NATION. AND EVERYONE KNOWS HOW DIFFICULT ITS TO DO BUISNESS IN INDIA. ACROSS 12/15 cities.

7. Lalit boasts about founding IPLT20 alone and the BCCI didn’t believe his words and come forward to help

He wrote about how people mocked him when he proposed the idea of IPLT20 in 2008. He added,

8. He mentioned that he was born with a ‘Diamond Spoon’ who never had the need to take public money

Modi stated that he is the eldest grandson of the great industrialist, Raibahadur Gujarmal Modi who never had the need for extra money.

9. Modi targeted the BCCI for banning him

He got back at the trolls by stating that the media should open their eyes. He added that when he joined BCCI, the fund in the bank was 40 crores but by the time he was banned it rose to Rs 47,680 crores (17 billion USD).

10. Lalit Modi slammed the media by calling them fake

He stated that when BCCI banned him no one stepped forward to help. He wrote,

Did even 1 clown help. No. They had no idea even where to start. Shame on u fake media. .Now they act like HEROS. Have integrity for once
