Allahabad, now Prayagraj is hosting Ardh Kumbh Mela from January 15 to March 4 and millions are expected to take bath in the holy river. Among Prayagraj, Nashik, Haridwar, and Ujjain, the cities where Kumb Mela is held in Prayagraj is the oldest of all. The first bath is lead by Saint which is called Shahi Snan and is held at 3 AM. After that only common people get permission to take a bath. Hindus believe that those who take a dip in the holy waters during the Kumbh are eternally blessed by the divine. It also washes their sins and they come one step closer to salvation.
