History of Khole Ke Hanuman Temple

In 1960, Pandit Radhe Lal Choubey constructed the Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple in Lakshman Dungri. According to legend, Radhe Lal Ji was on an outing when he came across a rock with a carving of Lord Hanuman. He interpreted it as a sign and decided to construct the temple.

Some people also identify this location as Narwar Das ki Khol, where Baba Nirmal Das spent the majority of his life worshipping Lord Hanuman centuries ago.

The architecture of Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple

The traditional architecture of the Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple is reminiscent of a Rajasthani or Rajput palace. It is a large temple of Lord Hanuman located in Jaipur’s Lakshman Dungri hills. The two-story structures of this temple are constructed of marble and pink sandstone. A flight of stairs leads to the entrance.

The temple’s premises include wide walkways, a parking lot, guest rooms, large dining halls, several lawns with stone benches, potted plants, and trees that encircle the entire building.

In the center of the temple is the sanctum sanctorum, another palace-like building. It has a small room with the idol of the presiding deity mounted on a marble slab. The idol is placed in a slanting position with two rows of marble steps on either side.

How to reach Khole Ke Hanuman Ji temple: In total, three routes lead to this temple in Jaipur, and they are all easily accessible from the city’s roads. The first route travels along Galta Road – NH 248, the second via Tonk Road – NH 248, and the third via Shanti Path – NH 248.
