Kothari Gordhandas of Vadtal assigned Shastri Yagnapurushdas to supervise the mandir’s operations in 1899. During this time, Shastri Yagnapurushdas renovated the location, constructed the adjacent bungalow, and acquired more land for the complex to bring it to its current form.

The Hanuman idol present in this temple appears to be a muscular man with a handlebar mustache who was depicted smashing a female demon beneath his foot and showing his teeth while standing amidst sculpted foliage with fruit-carrying monkey followers.

Significance of this Hanuman temple

According to legend, the image of this temple is so powerful that just staring at it is claimed to expel evil spirits from those who are under its influence. Saturday is designated for a particular ceremony for people suffering from mental diseases and other ailments.

They are brought to the temple to be touched by the rod used by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami during the installation ceremony of the image. This rod is presently encased in silver. To perform this ceremony, the temple administration recruited a brahmin householder to serve as the temple’s priest.

After the ceremony, the affected person is then told to make a full lap around the temple. Some people take a special vow to do this a certain number of times or to chant the Swaminarayan Mahamantra while doing this.
