Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath featuring actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan revolved around one of the most devastating disasters of this decade. With breathtaking visuals of snow-capped peaks, melodious songs and beautiful chemistry between the lead pair, the film gave us many moments that stayed with us long after we left the movie halls. Sara made her Bollywood debut with the film and she undoubtedly gave a wonderful performance proving that she is in the industry to stay. Sushant, on the other hand, looked charming as a piththoo, who doesn’t refrain himself from screaming ‘Jai Shiv Shambhu’ despite being the follower of Islam. The beautiful inter-religion love story between the actors make you smile, give butterflies and leave you teary-eyes in the end.

Sushant’s Entry as Mansoor
The moment he entered the screen, we knew that he won’t disappoint us and gladly, we were absolutely right. From giving special discounts to devotees to clicking selfies with them, he won our hearts with his innocence. He has his own moments of guilt about which we came to know when he listened to the cricket commentary despite watching the match on TV. Moving forward in the story, we see that he felt attracted towards Sara but took time to admit it. His habits of stealing her accessories and collecting it will remind you of the time when you used to do the same with your crush in school.
Bold and Beautiful Mukku aka Sara Ali Khan
Sara might have got this opportunity because of her father Saif Ali Khan but she gave a convincing performance making us all believe that she deserved it. Sara was beautiful, confident and gave us some of the funny moments. But when her love is threatened, she takes on a fiery rebellious avatar that gives us goosebumps. Do you remember the scene where Mukku says to her father, ‘Mein to jaap karugi ke aa jaye pralay’? Well, in many scenes, she even stole the thunder from Sushant.
Sushant and Sara’s chemistry
From exchanging flirtatious glances to sharing a ‘cutting chai’, their romance was a breath of fresh air. With melodious song ‘Qafirana’ playing in the background, Sushant-Sara made us fall in love with them. The film had a beautiful scene when Mansoor sang ‘Lag Ja Gale’ for Mukku in the cave while it was raining outside. Everything stopped at the moment and you just want to admire their innocence. At a time, when we are witnessing stories around hook-ups and casual relationships, it was good to see two characters portraying true love on the screen.
Amazing climax
With flood washing away the temple town, we saw destruction on-screen, as if we were present right here. The use of VFX was done brilliantly and the filmmaker succeeded to gave us the experience. However, it is the emotional graph of the movie takes a new high when Mansoor was rescuing people as the time ran out. In the helicopter, Mukku was waiting for her father and Mansoor. But what happens next breaks the heart to pieces. The climax of the movie succeeds in giving you goosebumps and leaves you teary-eyed in the end.
