Featuring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra and others. The plot is based on the Battle of Saragarhi back in 1897. Completely a true story with nominal cinematography.

4. Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran – 2018

The nuclear bomb tests which was carried out by the Indian Army in 1998, was kind an amazing drama to get turned into a film anyway. Parmanu is based on that, even the title of the film is apt to the story line. Worth a watch!

5. Mission Mangal – 2019

Acted by Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Tapasee Pannu and many others. It is basically based on the scientists who were a part of ISRO’s first interplanetary expedition called ‘Mars Orbiter Mission’.

Acted out beautifully by Sonam Kapoor Neerja is completely based on a real life story, which revolved around the Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi. The story of a brave flight attendant who saved lives of her passengers by giving away her life.

The story is about the tale which happened back in 1990, Kuwait got invaded by Iraq. Featuring Akshay Kumar and Minray Kaur.

10. No One Killed Jessica – 2011

Staring Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan. The story is based on a female bartender and model who got shot by a politician’s son back in 1999.

11. Bell Bottom – 2021

Featuring Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta Bhupati, this action thriller movie is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. Based on true events, the movie revolves around an undercover secret agent who goes on a mission to free 210 hostages held by hijackers.

12. Border – 1997

The film, plot, music every.part of the film was an epic showdown. Mostly based on the Battle of Longewala back in 1971. Featuring, Sunil Shetty, Sunny Deol and many other well known faces.

A bit of comedy, pinch of drama and loads of real life incident is what the film is made of. Akshay Kumar sparked his charm along which Bhumi Pednekar. Revolving around the story where women had the courage to leave their husbands just because of a toilet.
