23 Bollywood Movie Death Scenes That Will Surely Make You Cry Unless You Are Made Of Stone

Be it a fictional death, or death very poorly acted. There are roles and characters whose death actually left a scar and made us rethink life. Getting attached to a character and then encountering their death on-screen could probably be worse than a heartache.

Let’s look at some of those Bollywood deaths scenes which left a huge impact on us:

1. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

Jimmy Shergill had a very short-spanned role in this film. Though it tore us apart, looking at the way he was practically begging Munna Bhai to save him. 

2. Mr. India

Tina, the innocent kid. The one who son hearts since the beginning of the film.  She got attracted and lured away by a toy and died cause of a bomb blast.

3. Lootera

Varun’s death was expected and NGL, we all saw it coming. But if we think of the things he did for Pakhi before that, made us really rethink the writer’s decision to kill him. 

4. Ghajini

Kalpana deserved to know the truth! She deserved to know she was dating Sanjay Singhania, before her death. The way she gave up all for him and adjust to support him made her the eye candy and the sweetheart. But her death was horrible and she didn’t deserve it.

5. Kal Ho Na Ho

Bidding farewell and taking last breath is kind of a monotonous scene in Bollywood. But the way the screens represented the whole characters and their skills in acting broke us. 

6. Neerja

Though we all knew the story before watching the film, and we knew Neerja’s gonna die. Yet, the death and the way she died while saving the kids didn’t do any better for us to hold our years back.

7. Omkara

Dolly did not cheat on her husband. We misunderstood her. We wanted her to die until minutes before her death we realized she didn’t, that’s when it hit us. 

8. Shershaah

Yet another death which was very predictable. The way they showed the death and his diligence over his country actually made us think about all the other people serving the nation.

9. Naam Shabana

When Shabana found that those people killed Jai, the man she loved, she was broke so were we. But the best fact is she bounced back and got her revenge.

11. Guzaarish 

Ethan’s final speech before things ended. By things we mean, he and the film were way too much to digest.

12. Highway

Highway was one of the most prominently acted films and not to lie it was the individual artist’s best film. Mahabir’s death was unexpected, giving the film a whole new meaning.

13. NH10

Can’t imagine what Meera went through after finding out Arjun’s body was murdered and punched at the railway bridge.

14. My Name Is Khan

As of us, are still recovering from this scene when Sameer got killed off cause of a hate crime. It was downright personal and we all felt that.

15. Paa

The kid with so many issues finally called his dad Paa. That’s was the last time as well. We got so involved with the character that it was devasting to watch him die.

16. Devdas

The lover taking his last and final breath before the woman he loved. It has to be one of the most well thought, cinematographer scenes in Bollywood.

17. Kai Po Che!

It was a mistake, yet a mistake that scarred us all. He mistakenly shot Ishaan and that was it.

18. Piku

The annoying, whiny, and the dad who sulks. At one point it actually became funny to us. But then his peaceful death claimed that life never stops for anyone. People have their own time.  own time.

19. Bajirao Mastani

Though Bajirao survived the injuries and all he wanted was Mastani to survive those too. Unfortunately, she did not and passed away. Expected, yet very melancholic.

20. Ishaqzaade

Let’s just be honest, we never expected the lovers to kill themselves like that. Parma and Zoya, both were lying, dead, senseless, and cold. Chills, literal chills.

21. Uri: The Surgical Strike

In the scene where Vihaan’s nephew was crying yet she did not give hope, she yelled and gave a salute. Show me something sadder, I dare you.

22. Masaan

Anyway, their cultural barriers were something that was restraining them to be together. But the fact that Shaalu ended up meeting Deepak at the cremation, and the way Deepak recognized her. Got us sobbing.

23. Rang De Basanti

DJ, Aslam, Sukhi, Laxman and Karan’s deaths in Rang De Basanti was so impactful that it made the audiences cry.
