9 Big-Budget Upcoming Bollywood Movies We’re Desperately Awaiting

The pandemic did cause loss to a lot of businesses and some even shut down, but the entertainment industry is still running cause frankly, people can’t do stuff without entertainment.

Some of the films go postponed from their release date which was scheduled and some just started their shooting to throw off a band when they release.

Let’s take a look at the upcoming big-budget Bollywood projects:

1. Radhe Shyam

The budget allocated for the film is ₹350 crores. The cast includes Prabhas, Pooja Hedge as the leading pair. The tentative date for it to release is decided as 14th January 2021.
Though the film was decided to be released this year itself, due to the pandemic and the situation it was postponed.

Being shot in two languages (like most south Indian films) Hindi and Telugu. And the plot is majorly based on periodic romance directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.

2. Tiger 3

The third part of the Tiger franchise. Obviously, it includes Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. But the new face we’ll get to see here is Emraan Hashmi. Though he’ll be playing the role of a negative person being a part of Pakistan’s ISI spy. The budget is allegedly ₹350crores!

3. Project K

Deepika, Amitabh Bachchan, and Prabhas as the lead role to the film has already shun the looks of it. The film is a sci-fi with a budget of more than ₹400 crores.

4. AdiPurush

It has already been tagged to be one of the most expensive films made in India. Yet another mythological film based on Ramayana. Though it did raise some controversy regarding Kareena’s budget. But now the cast includes Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas, and Kriti Sanon as the leading characters. The main plot this book leads is the Hindu mythological drama, Ramayana. And the budget is said to be ₹500 crores.

5. Pushpa

Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna are the lead roles in this film. It is all set to release on 25th December 2021. And the full name of the film is, Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1. This gives us the full hope of having a sequel to this already! The budget allotted for this film is ₹250 crores.

6. Fighter

Deepika and Hrithik is not really a very well known on-screen couple. But this film has that, and is an iconic scene already! The expected release date for this film is in 2023 and the budget is said to be ₹250 crores.

7. RRR

Based on the revolutionaries who fought for their country back in 1920. The film is directed by S. S Rajamouli. Though it was expected to release in 2020, due to the pandemic it is still on hold.

The budget required for this film is ₹400 crores and known faces like N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn are present in the star cast.

8. Pathan

Finally an SRK film. Deepika, John Abraham is gonna be a part of this film as well. And the budget is supposed to be ₹280 crores. Surprisingly this film will be released in a jiffy, (maybe a surprise from SRK to his fans, who knows?)

9. Ponniyin Selvan

The film is based on a novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy and the film is an adaptation of the book (1955 period drama). The cast includes some top-tier actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram as its lead role. The Budget allotted for the film is ₹500 crores!
