Athar Aamir Khan family and childhood
Athar Aamir Khan age is 30 years as of 2023. He was born on 5 September 1992. Athar Aamir belongs to an Islam Sunni family in Anantnag, Kashmir.
He is the son of Mohammad Shafi Khan, a teacher and his mother is a homemaker. He has two siblings, one younger brother, and two younger sisters.

He appeared for several Engineering entrance examinations after his schooling. Being a brilliant student he cracked almost all the competitive exams he appeared for. Athar Aamir Khan finally went to IIT, Mandi.
At IIT Mandi, he did B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Apart from being good at his studies, he had other talents. He even won the ‘Best Young Scientist’ National Children’s Science competition award.
While pursuing his B.Tech, he learned about the topper of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, Shah Faisal. After that, he got interested in the IAS exam. In 2014, he qualified for the railway exam and got a job offer at the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). But, Athar Aamir Khan decided to go for the IAS training instead of the job.
He also developed an interest in the IAS reading Humanities subjects in B.Tech. He took Geography as his main subject for IAS.

The one who ranked 1st was Tina Dabi, his first wife. In his very first attempt, Aamir secured 1018 marks out of 2025 (50.27%). After Shah Faesal who topped the IAS exam in 2009. Athar Aamir Khan is the 2nd Kashmiri to top an IAS exam.

Aamir ranked 2nd and Tina Dabi ranked 1st in the 2009 IAS exam. The topper couple first met at the IAS felicitation ceremony in 2015 at the DoPT office in Delhi. They fell in love during their IAS training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration in Mussoorie.
They even took a trip to the Netherlands, Paris, and Rome while undergoing their training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration.
Tina Dabi and Athar Khan both are officers of the Rajasthan cadre and were both posted in Jaipur. The topper couple got married in Delhi in April 2018.
