Ordering food online is a common thing nowadays, especially when one is in a hurry or doesn’t have time to prepare something to eat. Due to an increase in the number of orders, the delivery agents also face a rush. But a recent incident faced by a Swiggy customer will surprise you.
When the customer placed her order, the assigned delivery agent by the food delivery app refused to show up.

Woman shares Swiggy agent refused to deliver her food
A woman took to X, (formerly Twitter) and shared her plight after she placed an order on Swiggy. The user Neha S (@Neha_ns9999) stated that the delivery agent assigned by the food delivery aggregator Swiggy refused to deliver her order. The delivery boy apparently refused to deliver the order and said ‘mere pas time nahi hai jo karna hai kar lo nahi le kar aunga order’ (He doesn’t have time and will not deliver the order). She had ordered a vada pav and a roll. Tagging Swiggy and Swiggy Cares, she wrote on X,
“I have ordered something from Swiggy. I have not received the order. Your delivery boy refused to deliver the order and said ‘mere pas time nahi hai jo karna hai kar lo nahi le kar aunga order’. Where to go now?”

The woman who placed the order expressed that the food was meant for the children who eventually had to settle for Maggi noodles.
She also attached a screenshot of the order bill amounting to Rs 349. Neha also shared the number of the delivery agent.

Swiggy clarified that the matter was resolved over a call
The company immediately issued a refund after Neha’s post went viral. The company responded,

Faced same issue as well. These delivery boys have been finding loopholes and @SwiggyCares can do nothing about it. Two times I have lost money due to this and never been contacted by anyone even after multiple complaints. I have stopped online ordering because of this

This kind of thing is common in swiggy and had been happening fort years, delivery guys marking the order delivered/cancelled and then running off with the food, while swiggy tells you that you cancelled the order and makes you pay for it.
