Vineeta Singh family
Vineeta Singh’s father Tej Singh was a scientist at AIIMS. Vineeta Singh husband is Kaushik Mukherjee, the two met while pursuing their MBA and married in 2011. Her husband Kaushik is the co-founder and COO of Sugar Cosmetics. The couple is blessed with two sons.
Vineeta had a business mind since she was a kid. Little Vineeta and a friend made a magazine together and sold it door to door for Rs. 3. Although they were not successful because at that time giving Rs. 3 for a child’s magazine was a big deal.

She did her schooling at Delhi Public School, Delhi, and Ram Krishna Purana, Delhi from 1987 to 2001. She completed her B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (2001-2005) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She did a three-month summer internship at ITC Limited, Kolkata in May 2004.
She did her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 2005. She did a three months internship while pursuing her MBA at Deutsche Bank, London, and New York. During her internship, she did projects with the Emerging Markets Structures team in London and the Strategic Equity Transactions group in New York.

How it started
After finishing her MBA from IIM, Vineeta Singh thought of doing a job. She even got a job offer of Rs 1 crore on the campus itself. The job role was of an investment banker. Vineeta was confident that she will get this job easily. The job was good but Vineeta was not feeling good about it.
Vineeta wanted to start her own business. At the age of 23, she left the job with a package of one crore. She eventually started her own business.

When she first started out, she had to live in a matchbox home in Mumbai, often dealing with floods during monsoons. Today, however, she lives in a luxurious home in Powai.

Before SUGAR Cosmetic Vineeta Singh started two other businesses but they failed. In the year 2015, she thought of doing some new business. She came up with the idea of a cosmetics brand. In the country, there were not many big brands in the cosmetics sector at that time. According to her, the cosmetic brands present in the market did not pay attention to the needs of women. Her initial targets were women who were models, actresses, or came from affluent families.
Vineeta started her own cosmetic brand ‘Sugar Cosmetics’ after completing research on the market. Sugar Cosmetics initially started selling its products online. In the year 2019, the first store opened in UP. Now Vineeta’s company has more than 200 stores in 110 cities from there you can go offline and buy their products.
