South Indian actors are no doubt talented but have you ever wondered about their educational qualifications? While some couldn’t pursue their studies as there were busy following their passion early on, some completed their studies and got their degrees besides venturing into the entertainment sector.

He attended a number of institutions, including JRK Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Vadapalani, Chennai, Thai Sathiya Matriculation High School in Saligramam, and St. John’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Alwarthirunagar.

Although he was unable to pursue higher education as he was dragged into cinema by his brother and father, he studied through online courses and graduated from Madurai Kamaraj University with a Bachelor of Computer Application. Filmmaker, director, television personality, and entrepreneur Mahesh Babu is also a philanthropist. He has become one of the most well-known and prominent performers in Telugu cinema and is considered by fans, the Prince of Tollywood.

He earned a Bachelor of Commerce at Loyola College in Chennai after finishing his grade 12 at St. Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai. He further trained in acting for three-four months after graduating.

4. Rajinikanth

Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Primary School in Bangalore was where he did his schooling from. He was enrolled at a Hindu Monastery called the Ramakrishna Math by his brother where he was taught Vedas, history, and tradition.

Thalaivar Rajnikanth became interested in acting after started he participating in plays. He initially worked as a coolie and transportation attendant. He is also associated with the Madras Film Institute.

5. Suriya

Suriya, a.k.a. Saravanan Sivakumar, is among the greatest performers in the South Indian film industry. In Chennai, he attended St. Bede’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School then Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan School for his education. He additionally holds a B.Com degree from Chennai’s Loyola College.

6. Prabhas

Prabhas, the star of Baahubali is one of the best South Indian actors who needs no introduction. He attended the DNR School in Bhimavaram for his education. He graduated from Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad with a B.Tech. He continued to indulge his love of acting after his B.Tech. He graduated from the Satyanand Film School in Visakhapatnam as well.

9. Vijay

Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar known by his stage name Vijay is not only a famous South Indian actor but also a dancer, playback singer, and philanthropist. Before switching to Balalok Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Virugambakkam, he first attended Fathima Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kodambakkam. He attended Loyola College to pursue a degree in Visual Communications but he left early since acting became his passion.

10. Rana Daggubati

He attended Chettinad Vidyashram and Hyderabad Public School for his education. He registered at St. Mary’s College in Hyderabad to study B.Com, but he left after 2 months. He then attended Chennai Film School, where he received a diploma in Industrial photography.
