Jaipur, the Pink City of India was the first planned city in Indian history according to Vastu Shastra. The great Bengali architect, Vidyadhar Bhattacharya designed it in 1727 and the direction of the street was according to sunrise and sunset.
Pink is the color of hospitality that is why Maharaja Ram Singh painted the whole city in pink color to welcome Edward, the Prince of Wales in 1876. Now residents of Pink city tend to preserve this unique identity.

1. Hawa Mahal
The Palace of breezes has total 953 windows was built in 1799 and it just resembles the Lord Krishna’s Crown. It is just 5.5 km away from main city. This palace holds its name due to its ventilated architecture.

2. Jaigarh Fort
This palace is 15.5 km from Jaipur city was built by Jai Singh II in 1726. The primary purpose behind its construction was to protect Amber Fort and Palace from attack.
3. Jal Mahal
This palace is located in midst of Man Sagar Lake that is why it is called as Jal Mahal. It is 17.2 Km from the Jaipur. After its construction, it was renovated by Maharaja Jai Singh II.

4. Jantar Mantar
Person who visit Jaipur, always visit Jantar Mantar. This proud World Heritage Site has many collections of architectural instruments of astronomy. Not like today’s instruments, it was so complex and sophisticated instrument.
5. City palace
As Name suggests, it is a landmark to the city and hot destination for tourists, also Sawai Jai Singh II built it in 1732 AD. It offers the stunning view of the whole city that gives the insight of rich heritage of the long-gone era.
6. Amer Fort
Maan Singh, the Ruler of Amer, built this fort in 16th century and it is 13 km away from the main city. The fort is open for tourists from 8 am in the morning until evening.

7. Nahargarh Fort
This fort is located at 6 km away from the city. Its main tourist attraction is monument and history. The fort was originally named Sudarshangarh but was renamed to Nahargarh, which means “abode of tigers”. It is said that Nahar here stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia.

8. Choki Dhani

The temple was built under the supervision of Seth Jai Ram Paliwal in 1761 which is dedicated to lord Ganesha. Lakhs of devotees visit this temple and worship God. It is located at small Hillock.

The great modern architecture is similar to the Scottish castle in design. This white marble mandir was opened for public in 1985 and dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

14. Vidyadhar Garden
The garden was built in the memory of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya in 1988. He was the main architect of Jaipur City. There is no fee for visiting; and the garden is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 5:30 pm.
15. Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh
This garden is located at the 6 km away from Jaipur city boasts multilevel garden. Many features enhance its beauty like pained pavilion, watercourses, and fountains. The garden was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1728 and derives it name from Rani Sisodia.
16. Albert Hall Museum
This government museum was built in 19th century in the occasion when Prince Wales visited the city. it was built by Sawai Ram Singh-2. It stores and displays various historic items such as jewelry, Apparels, artifacts, weapons and belongings of Royal families.
17. Central Park
it lies at the core of the Pink city that is why it is called as central park. its richness is a green garden, club around it, and Rambagh polo ground. It also has various features like 5km jogging track.
18. Rambagh Palace
This palace as built for Kesar Badaran, queen’s favorite in 1835. later, in 1925 it became the resident of Maharaja of Jaipur. Being a heritage site, it has served lot of Roral families, now converted into heritale hotel by Taj.
